Work that repeats
Monthly bookkeeping, quarterly filings, an annual return — set the rhythm once and Vylan creates the next one when it is due, with the same checklist and the same flow.
Much of a practice is the same job on a rhythm. Repeat this engagement sets that rhythm once, and Vylan opens the next one when it is due — same checklist, same flow, new period.
Setting it up
The card asks two things, because they are genuinely two questions: How this repeats covers how often the work comes round, and how often the client pays. A monthly bookkeeping client billed quarterly is an ordinary arrangement, not an exotic one.
Repeats takes Monthly, Quarterly, Yearly or Custom…, and Each occurrence is due sets how many days after it opens the work is owed.
A checklist has to exist first — Add at least one document to the checklist before turning on repeat. A repeating engagement that asks for nothing would just create empty jobs forever.
Stopping and starting
Pause series halts it without losing the setup: This series is paused. No new occurrences are created while paused.
A pause is not a hold that catches up. Resuming schedules the next occurrence from today forward. Cycles missed while paused are not created. A quarter you skipped stays skipped, so pause deliberately rather than as a way of postponing.
End series finishes it for good, behind a confirmation. Engagements it already created are untouched — ending the schedule does not delete the work it produced.
Changing one, or all of them
Edit an occurrence and only that occurrence changes. When the change should apply from now on, Update the series to match this engagement pushes it to the ones still to come.
Making one early
Spawn next occurrence now creates the next one immediately.
This is not a dry run. It makes a real engagement, and if that period already has one you get That cycle already has its engagement, so nothing was created. This is the anti-duplicate protection working. — which is a safety net catching you, not a preview mode.
Each occurrence starts fresh: it carries the checklist and the flow, not the previous period's tasks or signatures. Last quarter's leftovers stay in last quarter.
