Our story
Vylan is accounting practice software built in Quebec by the two people who answer the email — client work, documents, signatures and billing in one place.
What Vylan is
Vylan is practice software for accounting firms. One place to keep your clients, run the work, collect the documents, get things signed, and get paid — instead of a folder structure, a signature tool, a billing tool, and a mailbox full of chasing.
It is built for how a Canadian firm actually works: bilingual end to end, so a francophone client reads French while their accountant works in English, and built with Quebec's privacy law in mind rather than retrofitted for it.
Why it exists
The work an accountant is paid for is judgement. Almost none of the day is judgement. It is asking a client for the same slip a fourth time, checking whether the statement they sent covers the right months, finding out who was supposed to review the file, and remembering to invoice.
Vylan takes the parts that are procedure and does them: requesting the documents, checking what arrives, chasing what has not, moving a job to the next stage when it is genuinely ready, raising the invoice. What is left is the part you went to school for.
How we build it
Small, and close to the people using it. There is no support tier between you and the people writing the software — the address at the bottom of this page reaches one of the two of us.
We would rather ship a thing that is honestly incomplete than a thing that looks finished and quietly is not. If a switch is in the product, it does something. If a feature is coming, it says so instead of appearing greyed out.
The rest of this help centre covers the product page by page.
